“Uh oh! That’s me,” laughed Gervin as he revealed his rookie card.
SAN ANTONIO — Basketball trading cards are a hot item amongst fans, collectors, and even with a San Antonio Spurs legend.
George “Iceman” Gervin recently did a pack break with Topps and uncovered many of his contemporaries when he was in the NBA.
The 50-year-old card pack included Bob McAdoo, Rick Adelman and Kareem Abdul Jabbar player cards. But as Gervin revealed the cards to the camera, he discovered the pack contained his Spurs rookie card.
“Uh oh! That’s me,” Gervin said as he flipped over his card. “That’s pretty unique there, huh?”
Talk about luck striking Gervin!
