CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — All proceeds from a concert by “King of Country” George Strait and special guests raised $6.25 million to be donated to those affected by the flooding across Texas’ Hill Country last Sunday.
In an Instagram post, Strait’s team said all proceeds from the event and online contributions will be donated to the 501 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund and given to affected families to help with Hill Country recovery efforts.
George Strait, alongside businessman and partner of Vaqueros del Mar for 15 years, Tom Cusick, organized a special dinner and concert on July 27 in Boerne, Texas, to raise donations and support victims affected by the flood, along with first responders who work tirelessly to continue to save lives.
