Get ready for a temperature rollercoaster: near-record highs Friday, cold front next

San Antonio’s temperatures will near record highs of 88° on Friday before a cold front brings cooler weather this weekend.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio area will see near record temperatures on Friday as a warming trend continues through the first week of November. 

This week, residents have noticed cool mornings followed by warm afternoons about 7°- 12° above average. But the warm weather won’t last too long due to a cold front coming in during the weekend. 

Breakdown:

According to NWS data, the San Antonio area could see temperatures more than 15° warmer than the monthly average with the high Friday expected to be close to the record of 88°. The greater San Antonio area should also expect some fog Friday morning. 

Future: 

A dry cold front will hit Saturday night, which may cause some fire weather with low humidity and high winds on Sunday.

It is expected to be sunny over the next week, mainly dry over the next 10 days. Temperatures will be much cooler early next week, with lows near 40° and chills in the 30’s.

 Sometime between Nov. 16 and Nov. 20  there should be a better chance for rain.
