Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to collect Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama memorabilia

The Bucks superstar expresses the desire to collect Wemby memorabilia, highlighting the Spurs player’s rising value.

SAN ANTONIO — Sports collectors are not the only ones who want to own anything and everything related to San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama memorabilia.

Even NBA champions want to own a piece of Wemby fever like Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks All-Star made an appearance at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago and spoke with Ken Goldin of the “Goldin” auction house.

His brothers joined him, and they all spoke about collecting cards, looked back at Giannis’ rookie autograph and spoke with fans watching the eBay live show.

They were then asked if there were any memorabilia from any sports star they’d want to collect, and immediately Antetokounmpo pointed to Wemby items.

“I want Wemby’s first rookie card ever,” Antetokounmpo said on eBay Live stream with Goldin. “I think he’s going to be one of the best players in the league in the next couple of years. I think he will have a very great career moving forward, so maybe like a jersey, his first jersey or his first basketball shoe when he played his first NBA game, or the first ball that he played with when he scored his very first point.”

One cannot blame Giannis for wanting to collect all Wemby memorabilia.

The Spurs center’s trading cards typically sell for thousands of dollars; his game-worn jerseys fetch top dollar at auction, and his autograph is highly sought after.
