Around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, an SPD officer assigned as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Jefferson Elementary was notified by school administration that they might’ve found narcotics on campus.

Upon arrival, the SRO was given a small, clear bag that contained a white substance that was found in a classroom. After an investigation, the SRO identified a female juvenile as the individual who allegedly brought the substance onto campus.

The girl was taken to the Guadalupe County Juvenile Probation Department and faces a charge of possession of a substance, penalty group one in a drug-free zone.

“The Seguin Police Department would like to express that we are committed to ensuring the safety of all students and staff within our schools and appreciate the cooperation of campus administrators,” SPD said.
