SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs fans can score big for the community this Friday by giving blood.
South Texas Blood & Tissue, in partnership with the Spurs, is hosting a blood drive at Rolling Oaks Mall to help patients during a critical time for the blood supply. According to experts, holiday travel, school breaks, and seasonal illnesses have caused donations to drop about 25%, but patient needs remain constant, and about one-quarter of all donated blood goes to cancer patients, who rely on transfusions year-round.
To thank donors, anyone who gives blood at the drive will get two tickets to see the Spurs take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 3.
When: Jan. 2, 2026 | 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Where: Rolling Oaks Mall, 6909 North Loop 1604 East
Walk-ins are welcome.
Officials say one donation can help up to three people in need. For more information or to book an appointment, visit SouthTexasBlood.org/Spurs.
