Good Samaritans help save resident from house fire in Schertz, officials say

Good Samaritans rescue a person from a major house fire in Schertz, Texas.

SAN ANTONIO — A person was rescued by good Samaritans during a major house fire Friday morning, according to the Schertz Fire Department. 

Fire crews were called to the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue around 11 a.m., for a structure fire. 

Officials said one person was inside the home during the time of the fire and two citizens helped get them to safety. 

The person was taken to a local hospital but their condition remains unknown, according to Schertz Fire. 

Cibolo Fire, GVEC and Centerpointe Gas also responded to the fire. 

Schertz Fire said this is an ongoing investigation.
