Good Samaritans pull driver from fiery crash on Memorial Heights, police say

This happened around 11 p.m. just south of Washington Avenue near Montrose.

One of the men who pulled the driver to safety after his car burst into flames spoke with KHOU 11 News following the rescue.

“Got out here as fast as I could, saw the car burning, opened the front door, pulled him out, got my brother’s help over there. His legs were stuck so we were just tugging and pulled him back as far as we could before the car blew up,” Harjap Singh said.

Houston firefighters took that driver to the hospital. However, the extent of his injuries has not been released.
