Think your Texas-made product belongs on H-E-B shelves? Entries are now open for the annual Quest for Texas Best competition with $100,000 in prizes.
SAN ANTONIO — If you’ve ever thought your product should be on H-E-B shelves, now’s your chance to prove it.
The grocery chain is now accepting entries for the 13th annual Quest for Texas Best, a competition highlighting products made in the Lone Star State. Submissions open March 11 and run through April 22.
Entrepreneurs and small businesses can compete for $100,000 in total prizes and the opportunity to have their product sold in H-E-B stores across Texas.
Over the years, the competition has featured everything from cookies, coffee and salsa to beauty items, toys and home goods. H-E-B leaders will review submissions and invite selected finalists to present their products to judges in San Antonio this October.
“We look forward to connecting with Texas-based innovators each year and providing exciting opportunities through this competition,” said James Harris, senior director of diversity and supplier diversity for H-E-B. “After 12 years of Quest for Texas Best, the creativity and ingenuity of Texans still inspire me.”
The grand prize winner will receive $50,000, the title of “Texas Best,” and a chance to land on store shelves statewide.
Anyone interested must submit their product details online before the April 22 deadline.
