Grandmother bitten in face by family dog in west Bexar County, BCSO says

SAN ANTONIO — A 74-year-old grandmother was attacked by a family dog west of San Antonio in Bexar County, authorities say. 

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for an animal bite on the 11200 block of Durango Eagle around 10:20 a.m. 

Deputies say a grandmother was in the living room when the family dog bit her in the face. Authorities did not say what caused the attack. 

Deputies described the dog as a boxer and pit bull mix. 

A status of the woman’s condition was not provided. 

Animal Control Services were also dispatched to the location. A KENS 5 news team was also on scene and saw the dog being taken away from the home.
