SEGUIN, Texas — With the holidays just around the corner, one Seguin toy store got a late-night visitor who definitely wasn’t Santa. Now, Seguin Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglar who broke into Z’s Toys and More last week.
According to police, a man pushed in an A/C window unit and crawled into the store around 5:14 a.m. last Thursday. Surveillance photos released by investigators show the suspect wearing a white hoodie and white sweatpants.
The break-in immediately triggered the store’s alarm, and police say the man ran away before officers arrived. It’s still unclear whether he was able to steal anything or how much damage was caused.
Online, people have had some fun with the images, comparing the suspect to the Grinch or even the Ghost of Christmas Past. But police are hoping someone will recognize him and come forward.
