A 27-year-old man is behind bars after what deputies describe as a chaotic and violent struggle during an arrest attempt in Seguin.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m. on February 18 in the 100 block of Hickory Forest Drive.
According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded after a homeowner called for help, reporting that Kolby Mikesh had shown up at his house trying to fight.
When deputies arrived, they say they discovered Mikesh had an active arrest warrant for assaulting a hospital worker in April 2024.
Authorities say Mikesh refused to turn himself in and attempted to run. Deputies say one officer deployed his Taser — ultimately using it 10 times, but Mikesh continued to resist.
During the struggle, investigators say Mikesh charged at a deputy and bit his arm. He is also accused of grabbing another deputy and scratching both of his arms.
Deputies were eventually able to take him into custody.
Mikesh is now booked into the Guadalupe County Jail on the outstanding warrant and new charges, including assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
