Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office: Two arrested after $470K in stolen vehicles found

Two Honduran nationals were arrested and charged with theft of property valued between $150K and $300K.

GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — Two men have been arrested after officials found more than $470,000 worth of stolen vehicles in two semi-tractor trailers, Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office says.

Early Monday morning, GCSO along with the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office intercepted two trailers on IH-10. Inside were allegedly six stolen vehicles worth more than $470,000. Officials believe they were heading to Honduras.

Two Honduran nationals were arrested and charged with theft of property valued between $150,000 and $300,000. The two suspects are Pedro Velasquez, 19, and Dany Arias-Tucios, 48.

The trucks, trailers and vehicles are all currently with officials as they identify the rightful owners as well as how they were stolen in the first place. Additional charges and arrests are possible.
