Gunpoint getaway at South Park Mall over stolen Polo shirts

Crime Stoppers needs help locating two men who ripped off the Macy’s store.

SAN ANTONIO — Crime Stoppers detectives need help finding two men accused of a violent crime at South Park Mall.

Police said one of the men pulled a gun when store personnel tried to stop them.

The original police report says this all started with two packs of Polo t-shirts and a Polo sweater.

Police said two men went into the Macy’s at South Park Mall July 16 at 6:16 pm and stole multiple items of clothing.

The police report said cameras recorded the men hiding the items on their bodies.

The said when loss prevention personnel attempted to approach them, the men made a dash for the door.

Police said one of the men pulled a gun, pointed it at security personnel and then ran off.

The employee told police he feared for his life, thinking he was about to get shot over about $200 in merchandise.

Police said when the suspects got to the parking lot they jumped in a white SUV and got away, thanks to the help of a third suspect who was waiting for them.
