H-E-B LP has purchased another large tract of land in the northern reaches of the Metroplex for a potential future store.

The grocery chain’s purchase of 95 acres in Pilot Point closed Aug. 27, broker Rex Glendenning said in an email.

The land was sold by its longtime owners, the Gardiner family, who were represented on the deal by Ben McCutchin of Younger Partners. Glendenning and Caleb Lavey with Rex Real Estate along with Ernie Kennedy represented H-E-B.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

It doesn’t appear a new grocery store is imminent. Mabrie Jackson, managing director of public affairs for H-E-B, in an email called it “a long-term real estate investment” and said there are “no immediate plans for a store at this location.”
