Hard Rock says it’s planning to build a 189-room hotel and conference center on Lake Texoma

It’s part of a 2,700-acre master-planned community designed to include a casino, golf course and more on the Oklahoma side of the lake.

OKLAHOMA, USA — Hard Rock International says it plans to begin construction on a 189-room hotel and conference center along Lake Texoma near the Texas-Oklahoma border in March in partnership with Pointe Vista Holding Company.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Residences is planned within the Pointe Vista development, a 2,700-acre master-planned resort community stretching along 19 miles of shoreline designed to include a casino, golf course, enclosed waterpark, family entertainment center, amphitheater and more.

“Our collaboration will be a great success with Hard Rock International and a very positive contribution to the Pointe Vista community,” said Mark Fischer, CEO of Pointe Vista Holding Company in a statement. “We’re thrilled to create a unique residence and entertainment destination.”

Lake Texoma attracts nearly 7 million visitors every year, hosting multiple fishing and golf tournaments at the country’s 14th-largest reservoir, according to a news release.

The Chickasaw Nation opened West Bay Casino and Resort overlooking Lake Texoma near Kingston last spring.

Hard Rock says its planned project, which has targeted a 2026 opening, includes 25 suites and 168 residence rentals, and an 18,000-square-foot conference center and event lawn.

“We’re excited to expand our award-winning hotel portfolio and bring our unique brand of hospitality and entertainment to Lake Texoma and the Pointe Vista development,” said Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hotel Development for Hard Rock International in a statement. “We’re especially thankful to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt for his support of our new Hard Rock development in Pointe Vista.”

Plano-based Aimbridge Hospitality will manage the Hard Rock property.

“We’re looking forward to operating this property in partnership with Hard Rock International, a company that continues to expand and explore innovative ways to bring world-class entertainment to guests,” said Tiffany Cooper, Chief Development Officer at Aimbridge Hospitality in a statement.

Hard Rock operates or licenses 290 locations, including 37 hotels and casinos, in more than 70 countries, according to a news release.

The project is within 50 miles of both the Chickasaw Nation’s Winstar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville near the Texas-Oklahoma border and Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant.
