Heading to Post Malone at the Alamodome? Here’s what know beforehand.

The rapper-turned-country crooner brings his stadium tour to downtown San Antonio on Wednesday night.

SAN ANTONIO — One of the Alamodome’s biggest shows of the year comes charging through Wednesday night when Post Malone and Jelly Roll take the stage. 

The concert is the latest stop in Post Malone’s “Big Ass Stadium Tour,” which started last month on the heels of his countryfied “F-1 Trillion” album. Upwards of 40,000 fans are expected to head downtown for the show, according to city officials encouraging concertgoers to plan ahead and arrive in plenty of time. 

Parking will be available at the Alamodome, but it’s limited and will run you $60 (credit card only). City of San Antonio are also reminding fans to consider taking VIA Park & Ride to prevent congestion; buses will be taking off from the Crossroads station on the northwest side, and the fare is just $1.30 either way. 

Park & Ride service begins running at 4:30 p.m., and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Park & Ride service ends one hour after the show finishes. 

There’s also the matter of what you can and can’t bring in. The Alamodome has shared details of a strict bag policy, saying fans will be limited to the following sizes and types of bags:

  • Clutch purses no bigger than 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches
  • Clear fanny packs no bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
  • Clear backpacks no bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
  • Clear plastic bags no bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
  • Clutch purses 3 inches by 4 inches
  • A gallon-sized clear plastic storage bag

Fans looking for ADA-accessible parking will be able to find it in Lot A, but parking is limited to 127 spaces and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
