BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — IMPACT DAYS: Thursday, December 18

REASON: Heavy fog and low visibility in the morning hours on Thursday. 

A Weather Impact Alert Day has been issued for Thursday morning due to dense fog and low visibility. The heavy fog is expected to impact many residents morning commute, so drivers are urged to be cautious. A weak disturbance moving through Texas will also bring scattered showers, with mostly light rain and drizzle in the early hours. 

The breakdown

Scattered showers are possible Thursday morning with pockets of heavier rain hitting the south side of the city, but rain chances will shift east toward the coast as the morning goes on. San Antonio and the metro area can expect very light rainfall totals, generally between .01″ – .10″  of an inch.

Drizzle, mist and areas of dense fog will make for low visibility during the morning commute, so drive carefully.
