Heavy winds cause fire to spread from home to multiple vehicles on west side

The fire was first reported around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

SAN ANTONIO — Heavy winds caused a fire to spread from a home to multiple vehicles on the west side of town early Wednesday morning.

San Antonio firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Westknoll Drive, near West Military Drive and Highway 90, around 7:30 a.m. for reports of a fire.

Officials confirmed the fire started at a home and then spread, damaging several cars in the driveway. The house next door was also damaged by the fire.

The heavy winds helped to fan the flames.

No word on what may have caused the fire or the amount of damages caused.

This is a developing story.
