FLATONIA, Texas — This sounds like something from the wild west in the 1800s, but it actually just happened this week.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday, October 27 around 3:30 p.m., two men heisted three heifers that were to be sold at auction in Flatonia.
The bovine burglary included included two Holstein heifers and a Jersey heifer, all stolen from Robertson County.
Law enforcement from multiple agencies worked together to identify the suspects who were found in the sales area at the Flatonia Auction.
Davarion Davon Hurst, 19, of Franklin and Kevandre Dayshawn Corona of Calvert, 21, were taken into custody for theft of livestock and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
The cattle trailer used in the theft was stored at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office pending the investigation
