Here’s how much money Scottie Scheffler earned for winning The Open Championship

Dallas’ Scottie Scheffler notched a runaway win at The Open Sunday, adding to his impressive earnings in 2025.

DALLAS — Dallas’ Scottie Scheffler achieved yet another major milestone, taking home a win at the British Open after a dominant performance Sunday at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

His win marks another chapter in yet another standout year, which includes winning the PGA Championship in May. It also brings him one step closer to the Career Grand Slam; he just needs a win at the U.S. Open to complete the feat that only six other people have accomplished.

The British Open, golf’s oldest championship, comes with plenty of prestige, plus a $17 million purse, and Scheffler will take home a good chunk of it.

He will receive $3.1 million from his fourth major title, his third biggest prize of the year so far. His first-place wins at the PGA Championship and Memorial netted him $3.4 million and $4 million.

Before the British Open began last week, he reflected on the meaning of his success, saying winning his plethora of titles is not what he finds fulfilling. After taking home the title, he started by saying he didn’t really know what to say.

“To my family, starting with my wife and my son, thank you so much for the support,” Scheffler said. “I couldn’t do any of this without you. I love you very much and I can’t wait to get home and celebrate.”

However you slice it, Scheffler has had another banner year despite a slow start, attributed to a ravioli-related hand injury

Here’s how much Scottie Scheffler has earned in 2025 so far:

Across 17 events played this year, Scheffler has won about $19.2 million. On top of that, you can add about $30 million he makes in endorsements from Nike, TaylorMade, Rolex and other sponsors, according to Forbes.
