H-E-B is giving Texans more of a reason to love it by offering a deal you don’t want to miss. On Sundays, customers have an opportunity to clip and redeem one free item when shopping inside the stores. It’s only a Sunday promotion so try to schedule your grocery shopping within that day of the week.
According to H-E-B, the past free items have included H-E-B Bakery cookies, Central Market popcorn, Field & Future spray cleaner, Meal Simple soup, and Texas Tough aluminum foil. If you want to know the item that’s for free ahead of time, you can’t. H-E-B does not reveal the free deal in advance as the grocery chain said it provides “extra excitement” for its customers.
The Sunday DigiDeal freebie can only be redeemed via the My H-E-B app. Customers can clip the freebie and coupons in the My H-E-B app prior to shopping, or they can scan to clip the barcodes on DigiDeals tags and signage throughout the store.
For customers who want to scan to clip DigiDeals in-store, all you need to do is open the My H-E-B App, tap the Coupons button at the bottom of the screen, tap the button to scan the barcode, then hover your phone over the barcode and let the magic happen.
To redeem digital freebies or coupons at checkout, open the app, tap the barcode icon on the top of the screen, then the cashier will scan your unique barcode before paying for your groceries. If a customer doesn’t have a mobile phone, they can clip digital coupons on HEB.com.
