HOUSTON — As Simone Biles’ Olympic medal collection grows, the Spring resident and most decorated U.S. gymnast has a special request for anyone looking to ask her, or any Olympic athlete, a certain question post-win.
In a post to X, Biles said, “You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics.”
In a follow-up, she said, “Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for.”
Biles secured her 3rd gold medal in the Paris Olympics on Saturday and 7th overall when she landed her signature vault during the women’s final.
The 27-year-old has spent years perfecting the move, which involves a roundoff onto the springboard, a back handspring onto the vault and ends with a piked double backflip to the landing.
“Never say never,” Biles said. “Next Olympics are at home. So you just never know. I am getting really old.”
