SAN ANTONIO — With the Spurs playing their biggest game in years Tuesday night, many Silver & Black fans may want to watch them with likeminded fans.
San Antonio plays the Knicks for the NBA Cup Championship on Tuesday starting at 7:30 p.m. on Amazon Prime.
The game will be played at a neutral site in Las Vegas, but there’s plenty of places here in the Alamo City area fans can go to potentially watch the Spurs bring home some hardware.
The Rock at La Cantera
The Rock at La Cantera is hosting a watch party starting at 7 p.m. There will be a hype squad visit, a DJ, raffles and much more at one of the ideal gathering spots for fans, just steps away from the team’s practice facility.
The Friendly Spot
If you’re looking for a “friendly spot” for this game, you may want to head to The Friendly Spot Ice House in Southtown, which will feature the NBA Cup final on its “huge LED Friendlytron.”
Not only that, but the spot was also friendly enough to offer half-price nachos from noon to midnight, which they do every Tuesday.
McFly’s Bar & Barbecue
A restaurant just north of downtown is also having a watch party. Fly over to McFly’s Bar & Barbeque, located at 839 N. Alamo, for some barbeque and some hoops.
El Luchador
A south-side dive bar is also opening their doors for Spurs fans.
The El Luchador Bar watch party will start at 7 p.m. with drink specials, free food and, if you’re at least 21 years old and bring a toy, you get a free Jell-o shot.
El Luchador is located at 622 Roosevelt.
Pete’s Place Spirits & More
Not only is it a watch party, but it’ll also be $1 Beer Night at Pete’s Place in Helotes. There’ll also be a live DJ from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. to keep NBA Cup Championship vibes strong.
