DALLAS — The Dallas Stars are moving on to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a thrilling 4-2 Game 7 win over the Colorado Avalanche Saturday night. Now, you may be wondering: Who do the Stars play next?

Dallas will face the Winnipeg Jets, who earned a Game 7 overtime win Sunday night against the St. Louis Blues. 

Because the Stars finished second in the Central Division, the top-seeded Jets will get home-ice advantage. Games 1 and 2 will be played in Winnipeg before both teams head to Dallas for games 3 and 4.

The Stars announced Sunday that the series against the Jets will start Wednesday, May 7.

The win also keeps head coach Pete DeBoer’s perfect Game 7 record intact—he’s now 9-0 all-time, the best in NHL history among coaches with at least five appearances.
