Here’s who won the Denver Nuggets Halloween costume contest

The Denver Nuggets held a costume contest before boarding the plane to their next game. One player’s costume as “DJ Swiftie” is a clear fan favorite.

DENVER — The Denver Nuggets hosted a Halloween costume competition on the tarmac as they headed out to their Wednesday game in Minnesota against the Timberwolves – and the players really showed up and showed out with some creativity.

Nuggets fans laughed and praised the costumes on social media and made their picks of who they thought won the team’s costume contest.

There was a clear fan favorite as they swooned over Denver center DeAndre Jordan’s “Swiftie” costume – referring to him as “DJ Swiftie” in tweets.

He really nailed the details of the costume to pass as the Eras Tour superstar – with a blonde wig, bright red lipstick, and sporting her boyfriend’s Kansas City Chiefs team jacket – and promised there’s no “Bad Blood” against other teams.

The “spookiest” award goes to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, or KCP, who donned a frightening Mike Myers face mask from the classic horror slasher movie “Halloween.”

Aaron Gordon snagged an “Ahoy, matey” award for his black and red pirate outfit. His accessories were on point with a pirate bandana, an eye patch and striped pants.

Reggie Jackson’s lime-green raptor was on point. Who knew dinosaurs wore Crocs?

Coach Michael Malone was transformed into a championship werewolf who sported Moët ski goggles in preparations for the celebratory champagne to fly again this season, along with a Nuggets Championship swag chain.

Check out the scene as players and team staff arrived to the tarmac in costumes including a hippie, a ghost, Ken from “Barbie,” Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, a fisherman, Ted Lasso and Jackie Moon and Spiderman.

AltitudeTV’s Nuggets reporter Katy Winge traveled on the team’s plane and participated in the contest too.

She pulled together a “Parade Coach Malone” costume in all of his celebratory parade glory. Here’s what she needed to pull the costume together: black glasses, a silver swag chain, a 2023 championship t-shirt, swag chain and hat, canned cocktails and a ton of Nuggets championship brag.
