WASHINGTON — Ever wondered what an Olympic gold medal might taste like? During the 2026 Winter Olympics, Hershey’s is offering fans a chocolate stand-in.
Hershey’s announced it will sell limited-edition chocolate medals, wrapped in gold foil, during the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. The collectible treats, made with embossed designs, will be available on TikTok Shop beginning Friday, Feb. 13, followed by The Hershey’s Store website on Feb. 14, while supplies last.
Ahead of the official launch, Hershey’s gave some fans an early taste.
The first 400 guests at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and in Times Square received a free chocolate medal on Feb. 7.
The limited-edition medals will be available while supplies last. They are part of a larger Hershey’s campaign, its first major creative campaign in eight years, that celebrates “happiness as the real gold.”
The campaign features five U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes sharing their stories on finding happiness beyond the podium: Brenna Huckaby (Para snowboarding, four-time U.S. Paralympic medalist), Erin Jackson (speedskating, U.S. Olympic gold medalist), Hilary Knight (ice hockey, four-time U.S. Olympic medalist), Jason Brown (figure skating, U.S. Olympic bronze medalist) and Jordan Stolz (speedskating, U.S. Olympian).
“Happiness is in the moments and experiences we share, not just the milestones we reach,” said Stacy Taffet, chief growth officer of The Hershey Co., in a statement. “Hershey’s is fueling the brand’s momentum through what matters most: bringing people little prized moments of their own gold. Our new campaign connects consumers to the excitement of the games and reminds them happiness is within reach – even as a chocolate medal.”
During the Winter Games, Hershey’s will “medal everyday moments of real gold, on and off the podium.”
“From viral reactions to everyday celebrations, Hershey’s chocolate medals will honor fans and athletes alike,” the chocolate brand said.
