Highlights: Rangers tie up Astros, 1-1, in ALCS Game 5

The ALCS is tied at two games apiece. The pitching matchup for ALCS Game 5 is a rematch of the first game.

ARLINGTON, Texas — It’s right back to work for the Houston Astros, who are on a two-game winning streak in the American League Championship Series against the Texas Rangers. The Rangers won the first two games and now the series is knotted at two games apiece.

Today, it’s the aces going for the Astros and Rangers. Justin Verlander is on the hill for Houston, opposed by Jordan Montgomery for Texas. Those were the two starters that squared off in the first game of the ALCS, with Montgomery and the Rangers picking up the 2-0 win.

But that win was at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros have had their troubles this year. On the road, particularly in the Rangers’ ballpark, Houston has had much more success.  The Astros are 8-1 vs. Texas at Globe Life Field in Arlington, including a three-game sweep near the end of the season and two games in the ALCS.
