NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Beer lovers rejoice! The Hill Country Craft Beer Festival is returning to New Braunfels in April.
The festival, which is presented by The Original Black’s BBQ and hosted by the Rotary Club of New Braunfels, will take place on the Wurstfest Grounds at Historic Stelzenplatz on Saturday, April 26.
More than 35 Texas craft breweries and wineries will be featured this year, pouring over 140 different of beers and wines.
And if that’s not enough to get you there, the live entertainment includes Rockabilly band Two Tons of Steel, playing songs sure to get you dancing. The VHS 90s Party Band will also be there playing some of the most iconic classics from the 90s. And rounding out the talented lineup is Country artist Dwayne Wilson, who mixes a blend of old and modern country songs, as well as his own originals.
Want more? How about endless amounts of yummy foods that go great with craft beers and wines from four of the top fast-casual eateries in New Braunfels.
This year the HCCBF will host the United States Steinholding Association’s State of Texas championship qualifier, featuring men’s and women’s sanctioned masskrugstemmen competitions. And what exactly is masskrugstemmen, you might ask? It’s an endurance competition for holding a beer stein. A 3-pound glass stein (or mug) is filled with 20-ounces of beer and the last person holding up their beer wins.
General admission tickets are available for $35 in advance and $45 day of the festival.
The gates open at 2:30 p.m., and best of all… parking is free!
VIP tickets are also available for $99, but there are only 100 and must be purchased in advance. Those VIPs will be allowed in at 2 p.m. and get to park a little bit closer.
With your general admission or VIP ticket you get six 3-ounce tasting samples. But don’t worry, you can buy more samples or even a full-sized beer as well.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the New Braunfels Youth Collaborative and the Mill Street Youth Center, a nonprofit that is currently creating an amazing campus that will provide a wide range of programs and activities for middle and high school students during their out-of-school time.
