Officers say the suspect shot the homeowner when he tried to stop them, then ran off.
SAN ANTONIO — A homeowner was rushed to the hospital after being shot in a home invasion on the west side of town early Sunday morning.
Police say the suspect tried to break into a house off Landa Avenue near South General McMullen and Old Highway 90 around 3 a.m.
Officers say the suspect then shot the homeowner when he tried to stop them, then took off running.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to be okay.
Detectives are still trying to track down the shooter.
