An 18-wheeler accident near downtown is causing major traffic delays Monday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — A major 18-wheeler crash near the downtown area has caused major traffic delays Monday morning, officials said.
Several emergency responders were called to the Finesilver Curve and discovered an 18-wheeler on its side.
Police said the 18-wheeler was carrying roofing materials when it flipped on its side. No injuries were reported.
The rollover accident has caused multiple closures including the entrance ramp just west of E Elmira Street and San Pedro Avenue and the I-35 N southbound to I-10 westbound at Finesilver Curve, according to SAPD.
According to TxDOT, traffic delays are expected for several hours. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.
Investigators are currently looking into what caused the accident.
