House fire causes heavy damage east of downtown San Antonio

A late-night house fire heavily damaged a home in the 900 block of Wyoming Street east of downtown San Antonio, but no injuries were reported.

SAN ANTONIO — An early morning house fire caused heavy damage to a home just east of downtown early Sunday morning.

The San Antonio Fire Department responded around 12:13 a.m. to the 900 block of Wyoming Street near South Hackberry Street, where crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from the front of the home, according to officials.

Firefighters quickly attacked the blaze and were able to knock down the fire within seconds of arriving on scene.

The home sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
