The video was from both bodycam and the church showing Genessee Moreno walk into Lakewood and start firing before she was fatally shot.
HOUSTON — Houston police posted video Monday showing the fatal shooting of a woman who was firing a rifle inside Lakewood Church earlier this month.
A summary video was released by HPD and multiple other angles of the shooting were, as well, from both bodycam and video from inside Lakewood.
Genessee Moreno, 36, walked into the church on Feb. 11 shortly before 2 p.m. and started firing. She had her seven-year-old child with her.
An off-duty Houston police officer, and off-duty TABC agent working security exchanged gunfire with her, killing her. Her son, Samuel, was shot in the head and remains in the hospital. At this point, it’s still not clear who shot him.

According to police, Moreno forced her way into the church and started firing. The off-duty HPD officer, who was working security at Lakewood Church, heard was what going on, approached and began exchanging gunfire with Moreno. The TABC agent, also working an extra job at Lakewood Church, saw what was happening and started to exchange gunfire with Moreno.
Moreno was hit several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 7-year-old son was hit in the head. Another person – a 57-year-old man – was also wounded. That man was released from the hospital the following day.
In the video, you can hear Moreno say after after a barrage of gunfire, “I will blow this whole (expletive) place up.” She goes on to say, “You killed my son.”
A search was conducted of Lakewood Church after the shooting, but there were no explosives found.

We are going through the video right now and have reports on KHOU 11 News throughout the afternoon.
