Houston post office renamed in honor of Army Spc. Vanessa Guillen

HOUSTON — A dedication ceremony was held Wednesday morning to rename a post office in southeast Houston after Army Spc. Vanessa Guillen.

Guillen was the Houston soldier who was killed in 2020 by a fellow soldier while stationed at Fort Hood.

Investigators said she complained of sexual harassment before her death.

Her murder led to widespread military reforms about reporting harassment to superiors.
