HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets have pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Phoenix Suns for two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant, ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania reports.
The Rockets are reportedly giving up guard Jalen Green, guard-forward Dillon Brooks and the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, as well as five second-round picks for the 36-year-old forward.
Charania reported that the Suns were in talks with two teams — the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets — but came to a deal with Houston Sunday morning.
Durant played in 62 games during the 2024-25 season earning an average of 26.7 points per game, according to NBA.com.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Green played in all 82 games in the 2024-25 regular season earning an average of 21 points per game. Brooks, 29, played in 75 of the season’s games averaging 14 points per game.
The Rockets, the No. 2 seed in the West last season, were knocked out of the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors in the first round.
