HOUSTON — Houston sports radio station ESPN 97.5 FM says its signal was “hacked” Sunday after unexpected audio began playing over the air.
In a statement posted on social media at 4:34 p.m., the station said that audio aired within the last hour that did not come from their studios, prompting immediate concern among listeners.
“Our signal had been hacked. We are actively trying to rectify the problem,” the station wrote. “We appreciate the many of you who posted to alert us of the issue.”
