According to Houston police, the driver stayed at the scene.
HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after an 8-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Alief area Monday afternoon.
It happened at around 3:45 p.m. on Concourse Drive, which is east of the Sam Houston Tollway and north of Bissonnet Street.
KHOU 11’s Matt Dougherty is on the scene and was told by police that the girl had just gotten off a school bus and was crossing the street when she was hit. According to a post by the Houston Police Department, the driver stayed at the scene of the wreck.
Police said the driver didn’t show any signs of impairment and did not appear to be speeding.
