A tragic murder-suicide leaves two men dead in northwest Houston after a heated argument, believed to be a father-in-law and son-in-law.

HOUSTON — Two men were found shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide in northwest Houston Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

It happened around 9 p.m. on Peavine Circle near Sonneville Drive.

Lieutenant Khan with HPD said when officers got there, they found two adult males with gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid. Houston fire pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

Preliminary information suggests the shooting occurred following a heated argument between the two men, Lt. Khan said. It appears that one man produced a firearm and shot the other before apparently turning the gun on himself.

HPD said the victims are believed to have been a father-in-law and his son-in-law.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the incident. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or the HPD Homicide Division.
