I-35 northbound upper level, outside mainlanes to close through September in San Antonio

The project is expected to be completed by 2026.

SAN ANTONIO — As crews continue progress on the bridge repairs in San Antonio, parts of I-35 will be closed starting next week and through the fall.

According to TxDOT, the northbound I-35 upper level and outside mainlanes from south Laredo Street to I-10 will close on Monday at 9 p.m. through September.

This closure will also affect the Cesar Chavez Street entrance ramp and the I-10 westbound connector ramp.

The closure is part of the I-35 and I-10 downtown repair project which includes $25.9 million of improvements to increase safety. The project is expected to be completed by 2026.

TxDOT says all construction lane closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
