Costa Pacifica was just broken into last night and they said the thieves took thousands dollars.
SAN ANTONIO — Several business were burglarized off 1604 over the last month with thousands of dollars in money and merchandise were stolen.
Those who work at the businesses say no one has been caught.
Costa Pacifica was just broken into last night and they said the thieves took thousands dollars but they’re not the only ones — at least four other businesses off Loop 1604 were hit in the last month.
“They stole money…bottles…they stole food.”
said they had just closed up for the night and soon after two of three people broke in to Costa Pacifica.
He said this had never happened at their establishment and he couldn’t believe what was done. Thousands of dollars taken after a hard days work.
“They probably were watching us…when they leave they come in.”
On Dec. 13th Eggspectation down the road was also burglarized.
“This wasn’t the first time…this was the second time.”
That first break-in being November 20th where Alejandro Ramirez-Wiella said the thieves didn’t find any money, but when they came back Dec. 13th, they cut the power and stole a significant amount of money.
“The day you come to work and find out you have been broken into it has an impact…the atmosphere doesn’t feel right so it has an impact on all different levels,” Ramirez-Wiella said.
Police reports show at least two other businesses in this same area off loop 1604 were burglarized.
La Carniceria staff told KENS 5 they lost thousands of dollars of meat Dec. 12th and their security cameras were also stolen.
A worker at Delice Chocolatier and Patisserie and El Marisol restaurant were also broken into in the last month.
“It happens whenever it’s the Christmas season…I don’t know if it’s the same people…we don’t know yet.”
No one has been caught for these crimes yet but one business owner told me they feel it’s only a matter of time before these burglaries turn violent.
