ICE arrests 7 individuals from Honduras, Mexico, Venezuela at San Antonio restaurant

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted a federal law enforcement operation on the north side, placing seven into ICE custody.

SAN ANTONIO — A spokesperson for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said seven individuals were arrested at a north-side restaurant as part of a court-authorized enforcement action.

ICE says the seven individuals, said to be from Honduras, Mexico and Venezuela, were suspected of being unlawfully present in the United States. 

“The activity is being carried out in accordance with applicable laws and agency protocols,” said a spokesperson for ICE.

According to ICE, those who are arrested on criminal charges by Homeland Security (HSI) will be transferred to U.S. Marshal custody. Those who are arrested on immigration violations will remain in the custody of ICE.

This is an ongoing investigation.
