No injuries were reported after a tractor-trailer lost control near Dominion Drive.
A stretch of Interstate 10 in northwest Bexar County remained closed early Sunday after an 18-wheeler lost control on icy roads and caused a fuel spill, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 3:20 a.m. near Dominion Drive, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Officials said the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control of the rig on slick pavement.
No injuries were reported.
As of 7 a.m., the roadway remained shut down while crews cleaned up spilled fuel.
Transportation officials urged motorists to slow down and use extreme caution, warning that icy conditions persist across much of the area. Many overpasses are slick from the overnight freezing rain.
Drivers are encouraged to check road conditions before traveling and to avoid unnecessary trips until conditions improve.
