SAN ANTONIO — If your kids are barking with boredom this summer and looking to sniff out some fun, the San Antonio DoSeum has you covered.
Their new exhibit, Dogs! A Science Tail, is a journey into the life of man’s best friend.
It’s a summer treat where children and adults can unleash their curiosity and follow the trail of what furry friends see, hear, and smell.
“It’s taking the beloved subject of dogs, and really looking at it from a science perspective,” said Meredith Doby, Chief Creative Officer at the DoSeum.
Doby said visitors can experience a fun dig pit to explore skeletons, and learn how to understand the anatomy of dogs, and overall how they see and experience the world.
“If you’re curious and you’re asking yourself, ‘I wonder what my dog is thinking or how my dog experiences things, or how exactly their bones come together,” said Doby. “It’s sparking curiosity where you can investigate anything.”
The paws-on experience has many opportunities to explore including the bond between human and canine, and dig up the dirt to better understand our tail-wagging friends.
“Being able to understand how your dog reacts to interactions and what they’re experiencing versus what you’re experiencing is really fun,” said Doby.
The exhibit allows kids to follow their own trail into the unknown, and at the DoSeum, there’s no such thing as barking up the wrong tree.
Dogs! A Science Tail is open now until September 2.
