On Monday, district officials confirmed the board voted unanimously to finalize Dr. Marshall Lee Myers’ termination from Natalia ISD.
SAN ANTONIO — The Natalia Independent School District Board of Trustees announced on Monday the termination of a former school principal.
In a Facebook post, the district said the termination of Dr. Marshall Lee Myers stemmed from a credible severe threat of violence against colleagues – a violation that the district says goes against its zero-tolerance policy and workplace safety standards.
The district said the incident happened on September 26, 2024 when Dr. Myers allegedly threatened a district employee, saying: “If anybody kills my son’s college record, I’m going to kill you all.”
Since then, the board said Myers has been on administrative leave.
Following an investigation into the incident, the board voted in favor of Myers’ termination, according to the district. In January, Myers’ exercised his right to a termination hearing before an Independent Hearing Examiner (IHE) that ultimately recommended the board to proceed with termination.
On Monday, district officials confirmed the board voted unanimously to finalize Myers’ termination from Natalia ISD.
“Threats of violence have no place in the workplace, and the District will take swift and decisive action to protect the safety and well-being of its staff and students,” the district said.
