Mamu gets a San Antonio honor with his mural.
SAN ANTONIO — If you want to visit San Antonio Spurs murals, you can drive to any part of the city and likely find one. However, you can see one of the city’s largest Spurs murals on the south side at Rudy’s Seafood.
In case you didn’t know, the popular south-side seafood spot boasts a massive collection of Spurs murals honoring players from the past and present.
You’ll find David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, Victor Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan, to name a few. Even the Spurs mascot, the Coyote, has a mural.
And now a new player mural is joining the ranks of some of the franchise’s greats: Fan-favorite Sandro Mamukelashvili.
And he’s utterly appreciative about the gesture.
“I’m happy. I’m very, very happy. I don’t think I have a mural in Georgia, so having it in San Antonio, it’s definitely an accomplishment,” he said.
San Antonio artist Nik Soupe (who created all the murals at Rudy’s Seafood) recently added Mamu to the mural in his Icon Edition jersey. His name is splashed around his likeness, and the Spurs’ retro Fiesta colors surround him.

For Mamu, this is a huge sign. Getting a mural in San Antonio is an honor and reflective of how much the city and the fans appreciate their efforts on the court and how well they represent the city off the court.
“I want to say thank you, whoever did it, and I can’t wait to see it,” he said. “So very excited.”
Said Mamu: “Amazing. I saw pictures and I sent them to my dad and my mom. Everybody was really happy.”
He brought fans up and off their seats with one of the most memorable nights of the 2024-25 season when he exploded for a career-high 34 points, nine rebounds, seven three-pointers and three assists in a home win over the Knicks.
To add more flavor to the night, musician (and Mamu’s buddy) Flavor-Flav was at the game and celebrated his big night with him when the final buzzer sounded.
As for whether or not his mural did him justice, he gave his approval.
“Yeah, amazing,” he said. “I’m glad I’m honored to be on the wall with other players.”
Sandro enters free agency this offseason. He averaged 6.3 points per game, 3.1 rebounds, and 37% shooting from the three-point line.
You can visit Mamu’s mural at 4122 S. Flores St., 78214.
