‘I’m still looking for you, I’m not giving up’ | Family of San Antonio man sounding the alarm after no one has seen him for more than a month

“I’m just worried that something could have happened to him, or he just got lost, or you know somebody has him,” said Anna Flores.

SAN ANTONIO — The family of 49-year-old Joe Michael Riojas says they are very concerned about his safety, and just want answers to where he might be.

Anna Flores, Riojas’ sister, says her brother went missing the weekend of June 20.

“I’m just worried that something could have happened to him, or he just got lost, or you know somebody has him,” said Flores.

According to Flores, Riojas was last seen downtown, near Christian Assistance Ministries, on McCullough Avenue.

“He was on his medications, because he does need meds,” said Flores.

Flores says the family is concerned because while he has disappeared before, it’s never been for this long and he usually keeps in touch with his family.

“He’s always looking for my other brother Oscar, he’s also homeless and he looks for him, and they’re always together,” said Flores.

Riojas stands about 5′ 6″ tall, weighing about 140 pound, with black hair and brown eyes. Flores says her brother has tattoos on both arms, hands, chest and stomach.

The last time Riojas was seen, Flores says he didn’t have any facial hair and goes by the nickname Preacher.

”They used to call him the preacher, because he used to preach the word of God, he use to read you the Bible,” said Flores.

Flores says her brother’s disappearance has been hard on the entire family, including his mother, who has health issues and the stress has been overwhelming.

“Brother, if you’re out there, we’re here.  I’m still looking for you. I’m not giving up, come home,” said Flores.
