“Officer Vilma was a great example of a young dedicated, committed and courageous public servant,” IMPD Deputy Chief Kendall Adams said.
Vilma was appointed Sept. 2, 2022, and was assigned to East District middle shift patrol.
He is survived by his parents, two sisters and a younger brother.
