SAN ANTONIO — Team members at a senior community center in Schertz now have the qualifications and skills to help save lives.
Staff members at The Legacy Forest Ridge participated in CPR training, lead by Schertz Emergency Medical Services. Officials said every team member completed the course and received certification.
According to the assisted living center, the training was straightforward and focused on emergency response skills. Team members were provided with practical instruction on what to do when emergency medical skills are needed.
“We’re grateful to Schertz EMS for taking the time to guide our team through this training,” said Sonya Garcia, Executive Director of The Legacy at Forest Ridge. “It’s an important skill to have, especially to protect the wellbeing of our residents.
