SAN ANTONIO — A Kerr County Jail inmate has died following a medical emergency earlier this month, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Jail staff responded to a medical emergency involving a male inmate on Dec. 15 at the Kerr County Jail, located at 400 Clearwater Paseo in Kerrville, officials said. The staff immediately began lifesaving measures while emergency medical services were called.
The inmate was taken to Peterson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Despite the lifesaving measures, the inmate died from his injuries on Dec. 23, the sheriff’s office said.
Officials did not release the inmate’s name or details about the nature of the medical emergency.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office said it extends its condolences to the inmate’s family and loved ones.
