The initial call came into officials at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
AUSTIN, Texas — Officials with the Austin Police Department (APD, Austin Fire Department (AFD) and Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) are investigating after a dead body was discovered near the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Thursday afternoon.
According to an official with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the body was discovered by a staff member during an inspection. The staff member then contacted police.
Very little information is known regarding the deceased person, only that they were an adult. There is no information available on what the person’s cause of death may have been.
The investigation is still ongoing.
